Allies Withdraw From Gallipoli - 1916
Allied forces of World War I are led to a massive withdrawal from the shores of Turkey's Gallipoli peninsula, ending with the disastrous invasion of the Ottoman Empire. The Gallipoli peninsula, which guards the Marmara Sea entrance, became the scene of a massacre when the Allies attacked the Turkish guards in February 1915.
